Commandment of Computer Ethics

The Commandments of computer ethics have been defined by the Computer Ethics Institute.
“Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people: If it is unethical to harm people by making a bomb, for example, it is equally bad to write a program that handles the timing of the bomb. Or, to put it more simply, if it is bad to steal and destroy other people’s books and notebooks, it is equally bad to access and destroy their files.” (Techterms.com, 2017)
This is the first commandment of computer ethics, that said a person do not have any right to harm someone. As my research topic is 3D printing which create physical material, moreover it will be illegal to create anything which can harm others.

  1. You could explore this idea further in your research. Eg. What are the health risks of 3D printing, especially with food and medical items?
