Commandment of Computer Ethics
The Commandments of computer ethics have been
defined by the Computer Ethics Institute.
“Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people: If it is
unethical to harm people by making a bomb, for example, it is equally bad to
write a program that handles the timing of the bomb. Or, to put it more simply,
if it is bad to steal and destroy other people’s books and notebooks, it is
equally bad to access and destroy their files.” (Techterms.com, 2017)
This is the first commandment of computer ethics, that said a person
do not have any right to harm someone. As my research topic is 3D printing
which create physical material, moreover it will be illegal to create anything
which can harm others.

Essay Introduction
The concept of 3D printing dates to the early 1980s, when inventor Chuck Hull created a 3D cross-sectional pattern of an object. Hull was known as the father of 3D printing (The Guardian,2014). 3D printing is a part of
additive manufacturing. The object will
be created by adding material layer by layer. 3D printers are available in the market and in the process including, homes, schools, and
business. A famous fashion designer Peleg (2015) makes clear that “Forget
shopping, soon we will be able to download our clothes”. These printers are used for printing such as toys, tools, and 3D food intricate treats. This essay will
discuss the usage of 3D printers in a different
field of life such as Architecture and
Medical Science.

RESEARCH TOPIC
As I changed my research topic to 3D Printing. I did some research
about this terminology. It is very interesting to know that every field of life
use this technology including, business, school projects, architecture technology
and medical science.
In addition to add an example,
MarkerBot Replicator 2. It is the cheapest 3D printer in market. Firstly, 3D
printer needs a blue image which can be edit by some websites such as Thingiverse,
Shapeways. Secondly, send that image to the printer. Finally, the printing will
start.
MarkerBot Replicator 2 have a removable bioplastic spool in the
backside of the device look a lot like a string. When it receives the data, it
pull the material through a tube, melts it and deposits it to the plate then repeat
it layers by layers, where it instantly cools. Most Common material used in 3D
printing is “Plastic”. It can also use other material to create different
objects such as, toys, tools and food intricate treats.

Discussion
It was a discussion among 3 people. Each of the person need to explore
their thoughts and research idea. Author, Terez and Me we all were not sure
about the topics. However, we tried to do our best.
Firstly, Author start the conversation he talked about his main course,
which will be Computer Gaming. Moreover, he told us about his idea which
related to gaming.
Secondly, I talked about my major course. Basically, Terez and I have same
major in Computer Science.
I was first planed about the house security but, later I just changed my
mind to 3D Printing.
After that Terez enclose her thought about her research topic, which was privacy
(cyber security).
To sum up, we shared our ideas and successfully end up the discussion.
Hopefully we will implement on our ideas.

Reflection on Software Skills
I have a good background of Computer Science. Back in School I learned about Microsoft Office including, PowerPoint, Excel. In my college I discover the C and C++ language. I used this language and did programming. In the Beginning of DMUIC zero year (1st term), I had a Course named as E-Commerce. In that module I learned, how to create a website and maintain an e-shop by using the Ms Excel. Moreover, in the same term I use word for my homework for other module named as Intro to DMU. I also use power point slides for the presentation. Nevertheless, I need to learn more about Study Skills and Research just to improve myself. Because I want to become an IT Professional.
I am very hopeful that I will successfully develop a number of new skills by the end of this term.

Welcome Post
My name is Shehzal Imran. I'm 19 years old. I'm from Pakistan. I have an I.Cs degree from my previous school. I came to United Kingdom to get a degree then go back to my Country and serve. I choice Computer Science because of some reasons including, my background is all about Cs, we are living in a digital world (computerised system) and later on it will be on its peak and it is very helpful for my career and country. At the moment I'm in Leicester and doing Computer science at DeMontfort University.
